Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Suffers Delays To Xbox Series Release
Fatshark is a video game developer based in Sweden that has worked on popular titles such as the Vermintide series and more. Recently, the company released Warhammer 40,000: Darktide for PC via Steam and had a planned release for Xbox Series. Unfortunately, the company has announced that there will be a delay to the game’s release on that platform as well as the game’s seasonal content rollout. The game released to a lot of controversy and complaints from fans.
Via its official Twitter, Martin Wahlund, the company’s CEO and co-founder, had a lot to share on the topic. He noted that the company seeks to maintain a high standard and deliver a stable game and that Fatshark has fallen below those expectations. Moreover, Wahlund states that the priority for the company is to address feedback from fans and deliver a better crafting system, progression loop and optimize game stability.
Therefore, Fatshark has decided to delay the release of the game on Xbox Series X/S and their seasonal content rollout. Moreover, the team will delay the release of premium cosmetics. In closing, Wahlund noted that the team is grateful for the feedback and will continue to work and help shape the game. It is unfortunate that a popular series, with fantastic predecessors such as Vermintide, has suffered this fate. However, it seems Fatshark is concerned and willing to solve the situation.
