Overwatch 2 Latest Trailer Shows Off Upcoming Seasonal EventÂ
Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch series is one of the most popular arena FPS games around. Overwatch 2 released late last year to the joy of many worldwide. Since then, the developers have been working on the game and preparing for the launch of Season 2, along with a seasonal event. In the latest trailer, the developers show off the Battle For Olympus, which is a unique game mode that players can enjoy for a limited time.
In the Battle For Olympus, players will jump into a free for all deathmatch mode featuring seven of their favorite heroes. However, in this mode, the heroes will feature reimagined abilities as they channel their powers from the Gods. Furthermore, players can enjoy Leaderboards that tally eliminations from each hero. Moreover, at the end of the event, the hero with the most eliminations will be granted a statue in Ilios. Players can hop into the event from January 5th to 19th.
Besides the seasonal event, players can look forward to other content including the Lunar New Year Twitch Drops from January 11th through January 25th. These can be earned by watching streamers and content creators on Twitch. Recently, the developers released Ramratta, a new tank hero as well as other content into the game. Overwatch 2 features a battle pass which gives players the opportunity to unlock heroes, skins and other cosmetics.
