CATAN: Console Edition Will Officially Release In Late February
Board games have grown in popularity over the past few years, and CATAN is a staple choice in the industry. The developers behind the game, Dovetail Games, have officially announced that the game’s console edition will be releasing on February 28th. Furthermore, players will be able to pre-order the game on February 3rd. The game is currently available on the Nintendo Switch. Also, players that pre-order the game will be given five days early access to the title from February 23rd.
Via its official page, the developer stated, “That’s right crew, CATAN – Console Edition will be available to play on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & X/S on February 28th, 2023. I don’t know about you, but I measure time in sleeps, which makes it… 31 sleeps to go (if you happen to be reading this on January 27th).” Moreover, the celebrate the announcement, the team released a cool trailer discussing the road to the game’s console launch. In the video, Nat, the game’s producer, discusses the small details behind the game that bring it to life and add layers to it.
In CATAN: Console Edition, players will have a ton of different ways to approach the game including quick play, variable set-ups and even using QR codes with mobile devices. Additionally, interested players can purchase the Deluxe Edition for added benefits such as a custom dice skin and hex frame and layouts from previous World Championships.
