Popular Board Game CATAN: Console Edition Will Release In 2023
Board games are more popular than ever as they offer players, friends and family a fun time and long nights. CATAN is one of the more popular board games as it introduces various tactical elements to the game. Today, Dovetail Games, an indie developer that worked on various simulators such as Train Sim, has announced that CATAN: Console Edition will release sometime in 2023. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The developers released a short announcement trailer to give fans a first look at the game on consoles.
In the trailer, viewers are given a quick look at the game’s key features as it brings the popular board game to life. Furthermore, fans are able to see first hand the growth of the population and city through various islands. In the game, players must acquire resources, master strategies and build settlements. Players will see their city grow through the expansion of tiles and they can gather ore, wool and much more. Each game feels different.
Moreover, players will be able to enjoy the game with four friends locally and can use their smart phone to connect to the game to protect their cards. Besides that, the game offers intense and competitive multiplayer action where players use strategy to defeat their opponents from around the world and unlock exciting in-game rewards. Players must be prepared to fight for their survival.
