An Adventure of Hardship and Healthcare

Welcome to a story of healthcare, mental health, and friendship. Today indie studio BUNTSPECHT.GAMES are excited to announce that their cozy adventure game, Fall of Porcupine, will be available for free to 1000 healthcare workers following the games launch in 2023. Fall of Porcupine is aiming to provide players with a cozy adventure. One that shines a light on some of the hardships of the healthcare industry. A press release provides more details on the game as well as the offer. Additionally, a developer commentary video gives further insights.

Fall of Porcupine

Fall of the Porcupine introduces players to Finley, a freshly graduated med school student preparing for his first residency. Of course, his first residency is taking place in a small town that seems quaint enough. At first anyway. However, things soon become far more than Finley expects. The game introduces players to the world of “unhealthy” medical practices and the tolls it can take on workers. Of course, Finley isn’t alone and he will lean on his friends for advice and support.

Importantly, the game is based on the premise 20 interviews the development team conducted with healthcare professionals. As a way to give back, the game will be available for free to 1000 healthcare workers in the US, UK, and Canada. Check out the development video for some more insights.

Fall of Porcupine is releasing in 2023. It will be available on SteamNintendo SwitchPlaystation 4/5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. So, are you a healthcare professional? Will you be trying to get your hands on the game?
