With that said, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fans on the affected consoles took to social media to voice out their frustrations. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players on consoles may want to turn off the crossplay feature. After all PC users use their mouse and keyboard. Plus, the gaming public is also well aware that most PC versions of games are more susceptible to cheat software.

Moreover, console versions tend to have an aim assist as an option. With that said, many PC players may prefer to only play against other players who are using PC as well. This may help them avoid playing against aim-assisted opponents.

As previously mentioned, this particular feature is enabled on the game’s PlayStation version of the game. This indicates that PS4 and PS5 owners can choose to only play with others who are using the same consoles. This also suggests that Xbox and PC fans will have to take on players on other systems without blocking them platform-wide.
