Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Devs Want Players to Play the Campaign
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s campaign mode is known for its longstanding success in the gaming industry. However, multiple reports have claimed that it is most likely one of the last reasons players get the game. With that said, devs are looking to change that situation with rewards.
Devs have announced to the gaming public that they are going to offer multiplayer rewards to those who play through the campaign. Examples of such rewards are weapon blueprints, XP boosts, and cosmetics. The official Call of Duty website has these rewards listed in detail.
This seems to be the devs’ bold effort to implore Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players to stop ignoring its campaign mode. Players can obtain all of the rewards piecemeal as they progress through the campaign. They can get Captain Price’s signature weapon Union Guard once they are able to finish the whole thing.
Fans who pre-order the game now will also get early access to the game’s campaign mode “up to one week” before the game officially launches on October 28th. Curiously, devs did not provide any specific date on when “early access” starts.
Those who are able to pre-order it will have the chance to unlock all the perks of the campaign. This is good news for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players who want have them ready when the multiplayer goes live on launch day.
It would certainly seem that devs want the gaming public to play the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign. Fans of the franchise may be familiar with what John “Soap” MacTavish likes to say before he commits a war crime, “Eat your damn vegetables.”
