The Callisto Protocol Has a New Gory Trailer
The Callisto Protocol devs just shared a new trailer for the game. This new footage has pleased many fans who are into gore since it showcases a lot of blood, guts, and dismemberment. It gave the gaming community a terrifying look at the abominations that are lurking beneath Black Iron Prison.
Fans of the The Callisto Protocol are well aware that this prison is actually a futuristic prison society. United Jupiter Company leads its operations on Jupiter’s moon Callisto. The video also gives the gaming community their first look at the character portrayed by A-list Hollywood actor Karen Fukuhara. She is best known for the roles she played in Amazon Prime series The Boys and 2016 blockbuster Suicide Squad.
Multiple fans have regarded The Callisto Protocol as a spiritual successor to Dead Space. The scenes shown in the trailer would explain why this is so. However, Dead Space Co-Creator Glen Schofield wants the gaming public to know that it is actually “so advanced compared to Dead Space.”
In fact, Schofield confirmed that players will be in for “some pretty horrific moments.” This suggests that everyone can expect a gaming experience that is a whole lot more gruesome than what the already gory Dead Space games can offer.
“It is a lot of rendering and you break up the characters into jumps, cut them up with bones sticking out and all that,” he continued. “Then the rendering guys, they do their special thing to it which is to make everything look wet.”
It is because of this rendering system that they decided to do every single character that way. “However you go at it, chunks break off,” he added. “Or parts of the face, parts of the head.”
