Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Will Be Out in November
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 fans have been sent into a frenzy. Devs revealed to the gaming public that the game’s much-awaited launch is happening on November 16th. It will arrive only a little over two weeks after the October 28th release of Modern Warfare 2. This gives the latter some room to breathe before fans get to feast on the heavily interwoven battle royale mode.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is going to be free to play, much to the delight of the game’s following. However, players can still expect some hefty bonuses for Modern Warfare 2 owners.
Today was a special day for Call of Duty reveals and information. A new map for Warzone 2, Al Mazrah, seems to be one of the biggest highlights. It seems to be the headliner at the showcase, considering that it is the basis for many other enhancements and features.
This new Call of Duty: Warzone 2 map will have an updated Gulag. It will also feature some new Strongholds that will have new AI factions defending them. Plus, there will be new match-ending circle mechanics that can split players into certain groups before corralling them back together.
DMZ is also another addition. It is an “all new sandbox experience” that will launch with the Warzone 2.0 proper. According to devs, it is going to be a “rich sandbox” that will allow players to define their own “win condition.” However, Infinity Ward does not want to reveal too much and are keeping its finer points close to their chest for now.
“In DMZ, you infiltrate Al Mazrah, you accomplish your goals, and ten you extract when the time is right,” devs said. “It is played across the whole map and the AI is occupying large sections of the map and they are lethal opponents that command your respect.”
