NHL 23 Reveals Cover Athletes- Trevor Zegras and Sarah Nurse

It’s time to get a look at the next pros gracing the cover of NHL. Today EA unveiled the cover for NHL 23 as well as the two athletes who will be appearing on it. This year’s game includes two young players on the cover. Specifically, Anaheim Ducks’ Trevor Zegras and Canadian professional hockey and women’s national team member Sarah Nurse. 

Both athletes are representative of a new generation of talent in the NHL. Importantly, Sarah Nurse represents the first woman to appear on the cover of an NHL sports game. She expanded on the gravity of the opportunity stating, ““It is such a tremendous honor to be the first woman on the cover of the EA SPORTS NHL franchise… Hockey is really for everybody and I’m excited that NHL 23 is celebrating the diversity and inclusivity of the sport.” 

Additionally, Anaheim Ducks’ player Trevor Zegras also opened up about appearing on the cover. He explained that, “As someone who has played EA SPORTS NHL since I was kid, it is a dream come true to be on the cover this year with Sarah…I can’t wait to play this year’s version with my friends and teammates, and I am equally excited to see fans unleash my Michigan flip pass.”
