It’s About to Get Tubular in Knockout City
Knockout City Season 7’s next playable characters are going to be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The raucous dodge brawler’s seventh season is due to begin on August 30th. At launch, players will immediately be able to suit up as any one of the four iconic turtles, Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Donatello.
To be able to do so, Knockout City players will just have to spend $20 for the TMNT cosmetic bundle. Unfortunately, they will not be able to use their Holobux for the purchase. Fans of the game are well aware that Holobux is the title’s in-game currency that they earn by completing certain activities. It will include all four turtles and unique intros for each one. Long-time fans of the Heroes in a Half Shell might also want to splurge a bit more for the premium battle pass. It comes with even more TMNT-themed cosmetics, such as Shredder’s mask, April O’Neil’s outfit, and the Cowabunga taunt.
It has come to light that Knockout City devs want to cater to both free-ish and paying customers. There will be free and paid battle pass tiers coming with Season 7. Mutant Mutiny will have plenty of rewards for players to earn by simply playing the game. These gifts are going to be both TMNT-themed and otherwise. The most notable one seems to be the new Sludge Works map.
This is a brand new Knockout City arena that will reportedly feature an ever-changing platform with changing sludge-filled areas. This suggests that some parts and routes are going to be closed off to the players. With that said, they will have to adapt quickly to the presence of sludge all over the place.
Knockout City fans have noticed that devs substantially changed the structure of the game since its initial launch in 2021. This includes its transition to free-to-play. Despite these changes, however, the game’s core gameplay remains intact.
