Fantasy MMORPG Guild Wars 2 Officially Heading To Steam This Month
ArenaNet’s Guild Wars franchise is one of the most popular fantasy MMORPGs around. In 2012, the developers released Guild Wars 2, its long awaited sequel, and it had originally launched as a buy to play game. Today, the developers have announced that the iconic MMORPG will be heading to Steam on August 23rd, 2022. Interested fans can wish list the game on Steam here ahead of its upcoming release. The base game is free to play until max level.
In the game, players will jump into an open world where they can explore, solve puzzles, fight against other players and defeat secret bosses. Furthermore, the developers have introduced various fresh aspects to character design allowing players to customize their characters with skins and more. Moreover, the game offers a unique combat system with a wide variety of weapons to choose from and different playstyles to try out. The possibilities are endless in Guild Wars 2.
The game originally launched as a buy to play product, but at a later stage, ArenaNet made the decision to make the game free to play. However, interested players have a host of expansions to purchase and each introduces a ton of fun content to enjoy and explore. Thus far, the developers have released the Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire and most recently, the End of Dragons expansions. Additionally, players can access Living World Stories at level 80, which continue the story between expansions.
