Wrath of the Lich King Classic Pre-Patch Will Go Live Later This Month

Wrath of the Lich King Classic Pre-Patch Is Arriving Soon

Wrath of the Lich King Classic devs have confirmed that its pre-patch will be out later this month. Blizzard has just announced that it will specifically go live on August 30th.

“The journey to Northrend begins August 30th,” devs wrote on social media.

Fans of the game have been in a frenzy after devs confirmed that the wait is almost over. Furthermore, the 50% XP buff will remain for the duration of the pre-patch. It will apply to Death Knights as well. However, players who are looking forward to having an army of Death Knights may be out of luck. After all, they can only have one per realm with original restrictions applied to any others that they make. At least, they will not need an existing level 55 character to play a Death Knight. Devs removed this particular restriction for the very first Death Knight that players create. That is, unless they start on one of its fresh start servers.

The Wrath of the Lich King Classic pre-patch is also bringing character balancing as well as other new systems. These include achievements, inscription profession, and updates to both Orgrimmar and Stormwind City.

According to Blizzard’s road map for the patch, the game’s Zombie Plague event will start in major cities on September 6th. The Scourge Invasion event, on the other hand, will hit various locations on September 13th.

Unfortunately, devs did not provide any specific information about when fans can expect the fresh start servers to go online. However, the Wrath of the Lich King Classic community is expecting them to be available with the pre-patch later this month.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic is due for release on September 26th. With that said, fans only have less than a month to prepare themselves for their long journey to Northrend.
