In the upcoming expansion, players will return to the cold and frosty Northrend as the Lich King awaits. Players that have conquered Outland and Azeroth must now face the Lich King and his scourge atop the Icecrown Citadel. Furthermore, the Lich King is the Lord of the Undead who wields the Frostmourne, a cursed runeblade. Additionally, in the expansion, players will have access to the Death Knight, a unique class that begins at level 55.

The expansion offers players new content including dungeons, raids and places to explore. Moreover, the raids in Wrath of the Lich King were lauded as some of the best that the game has ever offered.

Players that are interested in experiencing the upcoming expansion in September will require a Battle.net account, active World of Warcraft subscription and the previous content for the ‘Classic’ version of the game. Other persons can look forward to the Dragonflight expansion later this year.
