2K Shows Off New Gameplay Enhancements In NBA 2K23
NBA 2K is one of the biggest franchises in video games as it provides fans with a realistic basketball experience. Recently, 2K announced NBA 2K23, the upcoming iteration set for release on September 9th. It will be available on PC, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Today, the developers unveiled some gameplay enhancements which will make their way into the upcoming release.
The developers intend to improve the game in various facets. Players will have access to shooting attributes and next-gen consoles will have improved AI. Furthermore, a new gesture combo has been added to the Pro Stick which introduces new weapons on offence. Moreover, on defense, players will experience more realistic on-ball defense, shot-blocking, steals and ball strips. The developers have focused on an improved defensive system.
Additionally, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, there will be a new tiered badge system with sixteen badges per attribute category. Also, Team Takeover has been redesigned wherein the entire team shares a single meter which allows players to know how hot the team is and to take over the game as a unit.
Since its announcement, NBA 2K23 was embroiled in some controversy as the game’s PC and Switch versions will not have the same features as the next-gen consoles.
