Those who have tried playing Warhammer 40000: Chaos Gate know that the game may lack a little bit when it comes to enemy variety. Plus, it may also not have the same strategy layers as its rivals in the market, such as X-COM or Jagged Alliance. Still, despite its shortcomings, it still has fans today.

Warhammer 40000: Chaos Gate pits squads of Ultramarines against the strong forces of Chaos. The turn-based combat is paired with a pretty rad soundtrack. Moreover, the soundtrack can also be downloaded as an extra once fans get the game on GOG.

A more recent Warhammer 40000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters may be resemble modern tactics games more. This one pushes players forward across the battlefield. It also has a strategy layer that has a full stock of voiced NPCs.

However, Warhammer 40000: Chaos Gate is a lot more old school. This is considering that it launched to the gaming community back in 1998. It is apparent that the game places emphasis on careful deliberation and chipping away at the Traitor Marines from a distance.
