Now you can enjoy this feeling on PlayStation. Today Humble Games and Witch Beam are happy to announce that the zen-like puzzle game, Unpacking, is coming to PlayStation 4 and 5 on May 10th. Unpacking introduces players to a story told by moving through houses and time. Beginning in 1997 the game moves forward in time. The player will work to unpack boxes of someone’s items and learn about them in the process. Of course, the game is a storytelling experience. However, it is mixed with a block-fitting puzzle experience and decoration sim. The game provides an experience, there is no score or timer to worry about. Furthermore it aims to emphasize the power of exploring story through items.Â
“The items often have a personal connection to you, the player, as you encounter things that remind you of your own life or those people you know. And the items are personal to us, the developers, because part of making this game involved drawing on our own experiences and finding ways to add small details where we could.” Says Witch Beam Developer, Tim Dawson, in the blog post.Â
