Silently, like a ghost, creep up on unsuspecting enemies. And before they even know it, take them down. Today developer Rebellion is excited to unveil a sneaky new trailer for their upcoming installment of the Sniper Elite series, Sniper Elite 5. The trailer, with insight from military advisor and action co-ordinator Paul Biddiss, shows off the stealth features coming to Sniper Elite 5. Additionally, a press release provides more details.Â
Sniper Elite 5 places players in control of an expert sniper behind enemy lines during WWII. Of course, a sniper has his skills. Players will use a combination of stealth, sniping, and skill to accomplish their missions and eliminate targets. Of course, sniping is the main draw of the game. However, it isn’t your only method of dealing with enemies. You’re a sniper, which means you’re stealthy. By knife, suppressor, hand-to-hand, and more you have a lot of sneaky ways to deal with foes.Â
The new trailer, or spotlight video, shows off just these skills. For instance, the video shows off the take-downs available to players and includes their authenticity through Biddiss’ expert motion capture. The takedowns are realistic to the very core. However, it’s not only takedowns being put on display. The video also shows off stealthy-traversal throughout the map, non-lethal takedowns and more.Â
Sniper Elite 5 is releasing on May 26th, 2022. It will be available on Xbox and PlayStation Consoles as well as PC via Steam and the Windows Store. Are you ready to become the stealthiest sniper of WWII?Â
