Need for Speed Mobile Gameplay Leaks to Public
Need for Speed Mobile is the franchise’s major comeback this year. Fans have been waiting for the project for quite some time now. However, it would seem that the game is off to a not-so-good start. Apparently, its gameplay and details leaked online.
Considering that it is a leak, fans should take the information with a grain of salt. However, the leaked preview does show what one would expect from a Need for Speed title. The video looks pretty sharp even if it is littered with multiple watermarks.
There are faux buttons on the screen that will allow players to do a variety things. They can boost speed with nitro, pump the breaks, drift around corners, and accelerate. There is also a translucent D-pad that Need for Speed player scan use for steering.
The map shown in the leaked Need for Speed Mobile video showcases a map that may be familiar to the franchise’s fans. Devs seem to have taken it straight out of Need for Speed Heat. Of course, Tencent added some changes to it. However, die-hard fans will surely see the resemblance.
What makes the mobile version different from previous installments is that devs left out cop car chases and any story elements. It would seem that Need for Speed Mobile is only focused on driving and completing challenges. With that said, the leaker adds that handling feels “similar to Need for Speed Edge.”
According to the leak, the game will only feature three vehicles. These are the Lamborghini Gallardo, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJR, and the McLaren F1. This is not entirely surprising considering the nature of mobile racing games. Cruising around while collecting additional vehicles would definitely make a lot of sense.
