AEW Fight Forever Is All Elite Wrestling’s First Game
Devs have announced that AEW Fight Forever is the official title of the much-awaited All Elite Wrestling game. The announcement also came with a gameplay footage. The preview revealed that the game is getting two new fan-favorite characters, namely Kris Statlander and Nyla Rose.
It was AEW wrestler Evil Uno who confirmed the game’s official title. He made the reveal during an official AEW games live stream. He also confirmed that the game is coming to both consoles and PC.
Multiple sources cited last year that AEW Fight Forever is due to launch this September. According to the insider, devs have not finalized the internal plans for the game just yet. Apparently, there is still a lot of work to be done before it can be sent out to the wild.
AEW Fight Forever is being developed by Yuke’s, which is a Japan-based studio that gave the gaming public WWE Smackdown and the popular WWE 2K series. Devs first revealed the game in November of 2020. At the time, the game’s fans found out that Hideyuki Iwashita will also be involved in the title’s development. Wrestling game fans are well aware that Iwashita was the genius mind behind Def Jam Vendetta and WWF No Mercy.
Last September, AEW Fight Forever devs also confirmed that the late Owen Hart will be making a posthumous appearance as a playable character in the game. Hart unfortunately died in an accident at a WWF show that took place in 1999. His appearance in AEW Fight Forever will be the first in a wrestling game since 2004’s Showdown: Legends of Wrestling.
AEW Fight Forever will be the first gaming title from All Elite Wrestling. It is due to launch for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
