The Great Old One’s aren’t just from the stories. In fact, they are very real. On May 3rd LLC Blini Games announced the sequel to their strategic roguelike RPG, Lovecraft’s Untold Stories. In addition to the announcement, LLC Blini Games also released an announcement trailer which gives players a glimpse of the game’s story and gameplay.
Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 places players back in control of the heroes from the first game. However, this time, there’s three more. That’s right alongside the detective, the witch, and the professor, comes the Medium, the Veteran, and the Alienist. Of course, each are bringing their own unique set of skills and abilities that will compliment different playstyles. Despite the return of some familiar face, there are also some new mechanics players can look forward to. For instance, the introduction of a crafting system.
In Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2, you will be able to craft new equipment by finding blueprints. Of course, you’re going to need your equipment. You will face dozens and dozens of enemy types in randomly generating levels. From humans, to monsters, to godlike bosses from the Cthulhu mythos. Side quests, scavenging, and crafting are essential to surviving as you explore a world of madness and darkness.
Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is set to release on May 17th 2022. It will be available on PC via Steam. So, are you ready to face the hordes of madness? Will you descend into a world corrupted by darkness and triumph? Or will you fall into insanity yourself?
