MLB The Show 22 is due to launch to the gaming public on April 5th. However, both Xbox and PlayStation gamers have the option to buy its MVP Edition which makes it playable on their consoles four days earlier.

Sadly, MLB The Show 22’s early availability to those who buy the special editions comes with certain hitches. These issues have pushed devs to have two scheduled server maintenance periods in two days.

Just hours after MLB The Show 22’s early release, San Diego Studio got bombarded with complaints regarding the functionality of its marketplace and its mini seasons. It is a known fact within the gaming community that it is common for game to face issues during its first couple of weeks. However, the franchise’s following is still not too happy nonetheless.

We are aware of the issues related to mini seasons and marketplace orders,” MLB The Show 22 devs wrote on social media. “We plan on performing server maintenance 12:15pm PT, temporarily turning off matchmaking now.”

Its mini seasons have not been functioning appropriately. Multiple players have complained that their winning games were recorded as losses. Some even said that they got a “Did Not Finish” result.

The second area of concern is the game’s marketplace. Players used real money to buy packs for certain items. The items they bought suddenly disappeared from their inventory, much to their dismay.

We expect marketplace active orders to be visible again after,” the devs added.
