Ghost Recon Breakpoint Will Have No Further Content Updates

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Isn’t Getting Any More Future Content

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was off to a rocky start at launch. However, Ubisoft stuck with the brand and sent out updates and fixes to keep the game’s following appeased. There has been no real news about the game for quite some time now. Just recently, the devs finally came out of the shadows to confirm some disheartening news for the game’s fans.

The last four months marked the release of our final piece of content,” Ubisoft said. “The brand new Operation Motherland mode, tons of new items including 20th anniversary iconic outfits, and Quarts items for Ghost Recon Breakpoint.”

Fans initially felt like devs were simply washing their hands of the game after some perfunctory fixes to the its problems. It is worth noting, however, that deciding to no longer roll out any new content updates for the game two years after release is not entirely unreasonable. Two years seem to be a more reasonable time frame compared to the studio’s previous releases.

Fortunately, devs will continue to keep their servers for the franchise open. “We truly hope you will continue to enjoy the game,” the devs added. “Have fun playing in solo or co-op with your friends.”

The reception of the Ghost Recon Breakpoint community to the news is mixed. Many players  reacted with cynical resignation. Apparently, they have been expecting this to happen. However, there are still others that expressed their gratitude to the devs for their continuous support for the game despite its rough start.

The Ghost Recon Breakpoint team is also thankful for their fans’ continuous support through the good times and bad. “We want to thank you again for your continued support and love you have for the franchise,” they added. “The feedback you have given for Ghost Recon Breakpoint has been instrumental and will help shape the future of the franchise.”
