But Wait, There’s More!
Remember when Techland Games talked about how much time players could spend in Dying Light 2? Something like 500 hours of gameplay? Everyone on the internet flipped out. We’re not going to talk about how many hours of Elden Ring we’ve played, but apparently 500 hours is too many. Or it is?
As you play through Dying Light 2, you will be faced with choices that affect the path your character takes. There are certain factions that just resonate with you in the zombie apocalypse. However, you might want to see what the other faction has to offer. Luckily, the New Game+ feature is nearly here.
Earlier today, the developers released a sort of video dev log. Producer Julia Szynkaruk talked about the upcoming update. The big feature is New Game+. It will work pretty much the way you expect. You get to keep all your skill you’ve unlocked and gear you have found.
There is however, one caveat. Some things will need to be unlocked again. The Nightrunner’s tools will have to be regained through story progression. The reason for this is so that the flow of the game would remain. You can’t just have all the traversal items right off the bat, I guess.
New Game+ is not the only addition. It seems that gold medals in parkour challenges were just too easy. These challenges will now have platinum medals to unlock, so we can really separate the best from the rest.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and will be coming soon to Nintendo Switch. The New Game+ update will be launching on April 27th.
