Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Devs Seem Ready to Reveal Sequel Info
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare devs seem like they are ready to reveal their sequel to the 2019 game. Activision’s social media account recently went dark. They changed their profile photo and header images to an image that depicts complete darkness.
However, die-hard fans enhanced the dark photo and discovered a silhouette. They found the silhouette of one of the franchise’s fan-favorite characters, Ghost. The CoD community is well aware that Ghost first made his debut in the series in the original Modern Warfare 2 game in 2009.
It is worth noting that devs already confirmed earlier this year that the game they had prepared for 2022 will be a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sequel. According to multiple reports, the campaign of the sequel will be all about the drug war against the Colombian cartels.
The mode still has no name at the moment. It has apparently been in the works for several years now. Moreover, fans are expecting that it will give them the opportunity to battle against cartel AI with their friends as they try to complete the game’s objective-based missions.
Many sources have claimed that the game’s single player story is going to be “a grittier take on Modern Warfare 2019’s campaign.” It will reportedly feature more close quarters combat, tricky decision making, as well as the franchise’s classic set-piece moments that fans have come to love.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare leakers claim that the sequel will launch alongside a new map for Warzone. This will be the game’s third arena for its battle royale spinoff. It will also have a variety of classic points of interest, just like the other popular maps of the series.
Sources also claim that the new map will have a second purpose. Apparently, it will house the sequel’s third mode. According to sources, it will be a combination of both PvP and PvE, which is pretty similar to the Hazard Zone that fans saw in Battlefield 2042.
