Cyberpunk 2077 Is Being Review Bombed Yet Again

Many Cyberpunk 2077 Fans Do Not Support CDPR’s Decision to Halt Sales in Russia & Belarus

Cyberpunk 2077 has jumped up the ranks and now sits at an impressive 86 score on Metacritic. This is mostly because the gaming community is pleased with how CD Projekt Red kept adding countless updates to the game in order to improve it.

Its newly added graphical changes gave it new life. Cyberpunk 2077 is now more enjoyable for players compared to the experience they got at launch.

Unfortunately, the Polish action role playing game is being mass review bombed on Steam again. Apparently, many antagonistic players are not agreeing with the studio’s latest action as part of their support for Ukraine.

cyberpunk 2077 review bombed yet again

Cyberpunk 2077 is getting user review bombed on Steam after taking stance in Russia/Ukraine conflict,” a fan wrote.

Since Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, the gaming industry joined in solidarity for the latter. CDPR is among those who loudly voiced their support. To reinforce their stance against Russia, they decided to halt all game sales in both Belarus and Russia.

In light of the Russian military invasion in our neighboring country of Ukraine, until further notice, CD Projekt Group has made the decision to halt all sales of our games to Russia and Belarus,” CDPR wrote in their statement.

Apparently, not all Steam users agree with this decision.

Fk you, CDPR,” one person wrote. “Russia is your father.

The game should not involve politics,” wrote another. “Disgusting political correctness.”

At the moment, Cyberpunk 2077 has 12,300 reviews on Steam. However, only 66% of that is positive. The number of negative reviews jump by a few hundred every minute. With that said, fans should not take its current Steam user score too seriously until the review bombing ends.

Still, it is worth noting that there are still many who have voiced their approval for the studio’s decisions. On Reddit, a post saying “losers who excuse Russia’s war on innocent people” have earned almost 4,000 upvotes.
