Call of Duty: Warzone is officially making its way to mobile platforms. Devs confirmed in a blog post that they are still looking for engineers and producers for the project. This means that the game is still very much in its early development phase.

The gaming community first heard about this mobile Call of Duty: Warzone project last December. At the time, a known gaming industry leaker revealed that the mobile version has a 2022 release target. However, devs have not confirmed this information as of yet.

This large scale battle royale experience is being built natively for mobile with cutting edge technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come,” the devs added.

Call of Duty: Warzone devs also confirmed in their blog post that the project is going to be worked on by different Activision-owned studios. These are Demonware, Beenox, Solid State Studios, and Digital Legends.

At the moment, it remains unclear how the upcoming mobile spin-off is going to tie into the current Warzone franchise. With that said, fans are hopeful that it will feature some Modern Warfare-themed content. After all, Infinity Ward had already previously confirmed that they are coming up with new content for its console version.
