It May Not Be the Game We Think
We’ve been on the edge of their seats, waiting to hear about the Breath of the Wild 2, the latest of the Legend of Zelda franchise. There’s been a lot of hope that we will see the game in 2022. But, we have at least seen on the financial reports that Breath of the Wild 2 is on the docket.
But Samus Hunter has come out with an insider report on the Zelda. Hunter, who has reported on various other Nintendo rumors, reported about the possibility of a Legend of Zelda game. Even if, according to Hunter, we do not see a Breath of the Wild follow-up for the franchise in 2022, “there are other titles” for the Legend of Zelda franchise this year.
However, there was no mention of what the title would be, nor the release window. According to Hunter, “AÂ Zelda product will be released this year as always, as there are other titles in development, but right now the plans are still a late 2022 release, and if a delayed happened, they would announce it around April/May because that’s usually the period for the new FY projection.”
While there was a follow up to the report, it was with a: “PS: it is still early to talk about a release of the sequel to Breath of The Wild in 2023, replaced by some ports such as the WW and TP collection (which I have always talked about as not currently planned).”
And while this does sound promising, it is what it is: a rumor. As we have not seen a follow-up with Nintendo as of yet, neither confirming nor denying the information, we can not take this as fact. But we can remain hopeful that we will see Breath of the Wild 2, or another of the Legend of Zelda games, in the near future.
