Mortal Online 2 Slashes its Way Into Steam Top 10, Aims at Server Issues

Can’t Stop Won’t Stop

Sometimes a game emerges so massive that players can’t help but engage with it. Star Vault’s MMORPG, Mortal Online 2, may turn out to be just such a game. The game made its debut at number four on Steam’s top ten games list. However, it’s launch was not without issues. A press release provides more details about how Star Vault is addressing issues and incentivizing players, as well as more improvements being made.

Mortal Online 2 Feature

Mortal Online 2 is a massive MMORPG set in a vast, and free, open world. Because of this fact, it may not come as a surprise that on launch there were some server issues. With over 110,000 copies sold Star Vault put in the work to fix login issues as well as server issues in certain areas.

Star Vault’s CEO, Henrik Nyström, says in the press release that “we now have a very good picture of the main issues and how we need to solve them… Thank you for all your support, we will keep you updated on our progress and steps to solve this. We know you’re all eager to get into the game and we’re working very hard on making that happen.”

In order to help alleviate further issues Star Vault is joining with a third party, as well as new hires. These new groups ensure that work on servers continues around the clock. Additionally, Star Vault has suspended players monthly subscriptions while issues are fixed.

Nyström is very optimistic about the future of Mortal Online 2. He explains, in the press release, that the monthly goal of the game is 300,000 active monthly players. This would push it above its closest competition of EVE Online. He believes that Mortal Online 2 has everything it needs to achieve this goal.
