Emotional ExplorationÂ
Welcome to the Rogue Islands. Application Systems Heidelberg’s adventure and exploration game, Ghost On The Shore, is coming to PC later in February. A press release about the game provides more details about the plot of the story driven game. In addition the release discusses how the player defines the story they experience in the game.Â
Ghost On The Shore places players in the role of, main character, Riley. Riley is a young woman looking for a new beginning. After making an emergency landing on the Rouge Islands she discovers she isn’t alone. Alongside Riley is a voice that becomes apparent as soon as she lands. This voice belongs to a ghost, Josh. So as the player explores the islands, left to time, they learn more about Riley and Josh. And it is clear Josh remembers a great deal from his time on the islands.Â
The game advances the story through both exploration and dialogue. The way the player interacts through immersive dialogue influences their choices. Ghost On The Shore sets out to show how powerful words can be. Dialogue is irrevocable and unchanging, giving the player only one chance to say a specific option.Â
Â
As players can see in last year’s audio trailer, the Rogue Islands are a place built for exploration. How you interact with the islands and the ghost that explores alongside you will give you a different narrative than a player who chose to interact differently.Â
Ghost On The Shore is set to release on February 24th on PC and Mac via Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and the Mac Store. Until the 23rd of February the game is available for pre-order that includes a 20% discount. So, are you ready to get emotional with a ghost and explore the Rogue Islands?Â
