A New Pokémon Presents Showcase is Coming This Weekend

What Could Appear in the Next Pokémon Showcase?

Following the recent heavyweight releases of Pokémon Legends: Arcus and Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Nintendo has released the date of their next Pokémon Showcase – and it’s coming within the next few days! Specifically, next Sunday.

There are a couple of upcoming projects that we could see info on. Pokémon Sleep comes to mind – little has been announced about that project since its reveal alongside Pokémon Masters. But that game has since released, and received tons of updates. Pokémon Unite is also a likely candidate – its genre as a MOBA lends itself easily to frequent new content releases, as League of Legends proves. There could also be more merch revealed – the franchise has no shortage of that.

But most fans will have their eyes and hearts set on something much narrower. Main series content is the big ticket item. It’s not likely to appear, but far from impossible. Any news or a tease of the game’s 9th generation will be received with cheers and enthusiasm, and the franchise’s world has no shortage of material to explore.

In equal measure, any news related to Pokémon Legends: Arceus would be positive. Perhaps GameFreak’s most unique venture since the series’ creation, the game has a ton of eyes on it. It was received well, but the unanimous reaction was along the lines of “I wish it just did more with the formula”. That ‘more’ could be the focus of the presentation, and there’s certainly no shortage of material to work with.
