The Queen and the Sea
Developer Motion Twin has recently announced that their 2018 game Dead Cells has surpassed 6 million units sold. Not only that, but to celebrate, they also announced a third DLC called The Queen and the Sea. This pack will end the paid Dead Cells DLC trilogy. Along with the announcement, the developers also released a short teaser.
Dead Cells players will know that there are already a few DLC packs out already. There is the Rise of the Giant free DLC, and The Bad Seeds and Fatal Falls, which are paid DLC. Rise of the Giant continues and adds some depth to the main story, while the three paid DLC have their own story arc.
Just a few days prior to the announcement of The Queen and the Sea, Motion Twin released the Everyone Is Here update. This free update added a bunch of weapons and character skins from various games, such as Guacamelee, Curse of the Dead Gods, Blasphamous, and Hollow Knight.
To celebrate the 20th year of Motion Twin and 6 million units sold of Dead Cells, we are happy to announce that “The Queen and the Sea” DLC a.k.a the epic conclusion of our DLC Trilogy will land on PC & Consoles Q1 2022!#deadcells #gaming pic.twitter.com/u4KBCMXOVt

While The Queen and the Sea will be the end to this trilogy, Motion Twin did specifically say that they are “not necessarily finished with DLC in general…” Hopefully, that means players can expect more paid or unpaid content in the future.
Just like previous paid DLC, The Queen and the Sea will cost just $4.99. Dead Cells is available now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
