After a Long Wait, a New Story Expansion is Coming to GTA Online
Rockstar Games has announced some brand new content that will drop for Grand Theft Auto Online next week. The expansion is called The Contract and follows GTA mainstay Franklin Clinton, who has a new business venture.
Franklin’s new celebrity solutions agency is looking for new high-profile clients to help his business explode. The perfect opportunity comes from DJ Pooh, whose close friend is the exact type of client they have been looking for: Dr. Dre.
The famous Compton-born rapper will play a central role in the story as he turns to Franklin to help him with a big problem. In The Contract, Franklin must find a missing cell phone containing unreleased Dr. Dre tracks. The cell phone has fallen into the wrong hands, and it will be up to Franklin and his associates to save the day.
Dr. Dre’s involvement with GTA Online was first hinted at by Snoop Dogg in the fall, and it seems we finally have the answer to his hints. Dr. Dre will be adding some new music to the game’s radio station. But he won’t be the only artist to lend their talents to the update.
The Contract will also come with updates to radio stations, a brand new radio station with special guests hosts and other missions for Franklin’s new business. The story will take Franklin all over Los Santos. From Franklin’s old neighbourhood to exclusive parties at mansions to the FIB offices. The update will naturally include new activities, weapons and vehicles as well.
