Latest Rumors About Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Year 2 Suggests It’ll Be Like Odyssey
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Year 2 is currently the subject of many rumors at the moment. With earlier reports that a new season pass is in the works for the game, fans of the franchise are expecting the DLC’s Year 2 to be much bigger than Year 1.
Based on what is being reported by multiple sources, it would seem that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Year 2 is not following the same direction that its earlier DLCs had. The game was following a more historical path through history in Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris. However, it would seem that the game is taking the same path as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey according to recent rumors.
Odyssey’s first two DLCs, Legacy of the First Blade and Fate of Atlantis, were pretty much episodic in nature. Still, they backed up one core story. Wrath of the Druids, The Siege of Paris, and Legacy of the First Blade all take a more historical approach. In this regard, Valhalla are Odyssey are similar.
Despite any noted similarities, the way that the devs executed the game’s first two DLCs suggested that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is going to veer away from the mythological aspects of Odyssey. After all, there were previous rumors that the next content is going to take players to Africa. These speculations were soon shut down with newer reports that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is going to embrace the franchise’s mythological aspects in its Year 2 content—unlike Odyssey’s Fate of Atlantis expansion.
There is one key difference that is worth noting. Legacy of the First Blade utilized history to tell an Assassin story. Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris, on the other hand, focused on Viking history.
