The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Will Be Free on Ubisoft Connect PC Until November 12th
The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy, which is a 2D spinoff series from Climax Studios, will be free for PC gamers until November 12th. This promo is part of Ubisoft’s 35th anniversary celebration.
“Celebrate Ubisoft’s 35th birthday and get the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy free from Ubisoft Connect PC,” Ubisoft wrote on social media.
The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy is comprised of three titular games, namely, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia. This trio of games were first released to the gaming public between 2015 and 2016 to a mixed reception from the franchise’s fans. These three aforementioned titles significantly brought players away from the premise of the mainline titles, and also featured areas that were not fully explored previously.
Each of the featured titles will follow a titular assassin as they embark on their own respective journeys in a 2D setting within their countries. For Russia, players journey through the Red October Revolution, Ming Dynasty for China, and the Sikh Empire for India.
Among the three titles featured in the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy, the China game seemed to have received the most notice from the series’ community. Ubisoft offered Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China free in the past, and there was even a manga adaptation that featured the title’s protagonist, Shao Jun. The game features a hefty melee combat style and also has a big focus on stealth.
“Three assassins, three journeys, one creed,” stated the giveaway description for Assassin’s Creed Chronicles. “Live the adventures of three legendary assassins and follow them in their journeys of revenge, retribution, and redemption.”
In addition to the free giveaway for Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy, Ubisoft’s 35th anniversary will also be featuring even more surprises. The Trilogy will be free only until November 12th, so those who want to avail of these promo will have to move quick since the games will be back for sale after that. The trilogy would normally sell for $24.99.
