Tin Anniversary
As far as publishers go, it’s hard to beat THQ Nordic’s track record. From Biomutant to Darksiders, from Red Faction to Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, they’ve given us some absolute bangers over the years. The Austrian publisher’s 10th anniversary is coming up soon, and not only are they celebrating with a live showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley on Friday, but they’ve also made two of their classic games available for free on Steam!
The two free games coincide with a massive THQ Nordic sale on Steam, with titles like Biomutant, Destroy All Humans! and Darksiders III’s prices being slashed by up to 90%. Desperadoes 3, a Wild West tactical stealth shooter, is free to play for the next 3 days – but two of THQ Nordic’s classic games are available for free to keep!
First up is Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, an ARPG steeped in Greek myth fro the co-creator of Age of Empires and one of Braveheart’s writers. Titan Quest follows a god-chosen hero on a journey through the ancient world, from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon to the shores of the River Styx, as they hunt down the escaped Titans. Titan Quest Anniversary Edition features plenty of content that’ll keep you coming back even after the main story is done – for example, an online multiplayer mode and a world editor that’ll let you design your own adventures!
Next up is a real classic – Jagged Alliance 1: Gold Edition! First released all the way back in 1994, Jagged Alliance is a tactical turn-based strategy game that follows a mercenary force on a mission to help the people of a small island nation. With 60 unique mercenaries to hire, intense turn-based combat and non-linear gameplay that gives it high replay value, Jagged Alliance 1: Gold Edition is a real classic of PC gaming.
