What’s Coming to Marvel’s Avengers Other Than Spider-Man?

Ponder the Question: What Else?

Earlier this week the team behind Marvel’s Avengers released their roadmap of content for the rest of the year. The big ticket item that caught most players’ eye was Spider-Man. Of course, we have known for a while and continue to be heartbroken that Spider-Man will be a character exclusive to PlayStation. But is there anything else worth noting for Xbox, PC, and Stadia players?

During the Fall and Winter months, there will be several returning events, such as the Tachyon Anomaly, Red Room Takeover, Cosmic Threat, and Corrupted Vibranium event from the War for Wakanda expansion. If you had enough of those events the first time around, this may be a letdown.

Marvel's Avengers 2021 Roadmap

Something kind of new will be that players will be able to fight Ulysses Klaw again in the game’s first raid. The details of what this raid will be like are unclear, so we will have to wait for more information.

Crystal Dynamics are also adding a new enemy type called Echoes, again with no details. The current Power Level cap is 150, but it appears that it will be raised in the coming months. The gear and resources earning will also be reworked.

In November, the Hawkeye series on Disney+ will premier and it looks like Marvel’s Avengers will be holding a tie-in event in some way where players can earn an exclusive nameplate.

Of course, since we’re talking about Marvel’s Avengers, there are obviously going to be more cosmetics. It looks like there will be more MCU outfits sprinkled throughout the coming months, but there is also mention of “earnable cosmetics”.

Right now, you can purchase a limited selection of emotes, costumes, and nameplates from the in-game cosmetics vendor with in-game currency, but all the good stuff is bought from the marketplace with premium currency. Hopefully (but unlikely), that system will change up so that players can get the best stuff by grinding hard enough. Marvel’s Avengers is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia.
