2021 is a weird year for games. Nintendo 64 games are coming out, there’s a Mario movie in the works, there’s new Life Is Strange, and there’s old Life Is Strange. Life Is Strange: True Colors and Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection were supposed to come out at around the same time, but the development team decided to postpone the Remastered games.
The priority was to get True Colors out the door on time, but they wanted to give the devs a bit of a breather between releases, so the Remastered Collection was delayed. The new release window was set as early 2022, but now we have a more exact date.
Today, Square Enix has announced that Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection will be coming out on February 1st, 2022. Aside from all the new lighting, sharper visuals, and all those bells and whistles, this collection will include the Deluxe Edition content from Before the Storm, the bonus episode Farewell, the additional outfits, and the Zombie Crypt outfit.
The Remastered Collection is native to PS4 and Xbox One, so there is no upgrade to the current generation of consoles. Like a lot of residents of Arcadia Bay feel, it seems fans of the series will never really ever leave this town.
Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection is a bundle of Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before the Store. It comes out on February 1st, 2022 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
