Take a Deep Dive into the Saints Row Reboot with the Developer Trailer

Welcome to Santo Ileso

The Saints Row reboot was rumored for a while, but officially revealed this week at Gamescom. With a series as big and loud as Saints Row, the reveal of a reboot is sure to incite a wide variety of reactions, like joy, excitement, even disappointment in some cases.

The announcement trailer introduces us to a few new characters including the new Boss. The Saints, who do not even start out as Saints, have their playground based in Santo Ileso, in the Southwest. The team at Volition has released a deep dive look at the new game by exploring this area and the people in it.

Saints Row Reboot

Santo Ileso is a much different place than the previous games have visited, but to be fair, the only places the games have been set were in Stillwater, Steelport, and Hell. There are a few factions that fight for territory in Santo Ileso; Marshall, Panteros, and the Idols, each with their own style of fighting.

Marshall is an international weapons developer that uses high tech stuff like lasers. The Panteros are more brutish. They use a lot of heavy weapons and melee weapons to beat down their enemies. The Idols are more about style and presentation. They are not particularly tough or sophisticated, but there are a lot of them, and they are pretty crazy.

We have been waiting a long time for a new Saints Row game and the wait is almost over. Saints Row is aiming for a February 25th launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
