Dance Off, Bro!
The Yakuza spin-off Judgment struck a darker tone than the main-series games and it looks like the follow-up, Lost Judgment will be doing the same. That’s not to say that it will be all serious business. There are some activities that diverge pretty significantly from the murder-solving parts of the game.
The new trailer comes out of Sony’s recent State of Play. We see some gameplay familiar to the core of the series, such as the third-person combat, but there are also a ton of side activities. Just judging from the trailer, players will have access to a rhythm minigame for dancing, a skateboarding mini-game, boxing, Battlebot-esque matches, and motorcycle races.
There is also a bunch of combat and story-related gameplay shown off, such as stealth elements and investigation sections. Takayuki has a set of parkour skills that allow him to wall-run for a short time, and climb pipes and railings along buildings. We also see him teaming up with a cute Shiba that will attack enemies in battle.
Previous Yakuza games are filled to the brim with mini-games, so it is no surprise that Lost Judgment will also have its share of side activities.
Lost Judgment will be coming out on September 24th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, but unfortunately not for PC. You can get the standard edition, Ultimate Edition, or Digital Deluxe Edition, which are now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store.
