The Apocalypse Never Looked So Good
It may have been a while since the last of the post-launch content came out for Remnant: From the Ashes, but rest assured that Gunfire Games is still supporting it. After it was released in August 2019, the game had two major DLC packs released within the next year. There has been no news of a follow-up and it’s not going anywhere, so the devs have announced that Remnant: From the Ashes will be getting a free update/patch that boosts its performance on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Starting on May 13th, fans playing on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S will be able to enjoy Remnant: From the Ashes in 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. The specifications of this release is a little muddled though. By that I mean, it is unclear if the PS4 and Xbox One versions are getting a patch that will be applied on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, or if owners of the game will get a free copy native to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Neither PlayStation, Mircosoft, nor the game’s website appear to be selling current gen copies of the game. So, it kind of sounds like like the former.

Regardless, it sounds like an overall smoother gaming experience for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players. Also on May 13th, Remnant: From the Ashes will be joining Xbox Game Pass for PC and will have crossplay enabled between PC and the Xbox consoles. Remnant: From the Ashes is available for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and maybe PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; it’s unclear.
