PGA Tour 2K21 Ships 2 Million Copies

PGA Tour 2K21 Brings in Millions

During the recent Take-Two Interactive quarterly earnings call, the publisher officially confirmed that PGA Tour 2K21 has shipped around 2 million copies already. President Karl Slatoff spoke enthusiastically about the latest 2K Sports Golf game, suggesting an even brighter future ahead for the franchise. PGA Tour 2K21 Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC.

“We are incredibly excited about the performance of that title and I’d like to say that we’re not surprised, but I’m personally surprised,” said Karl Slatoff. “It has done fantastically well. We sold around 2 million units or so, which is a fantastic result and we’re just really getting started. We do think that there’s a future in this franchise for us.” While previous PGA Tour games have sold well, it looks like the franchise continues to sell well for publisher Take-Two Interactive.

“We haven’t really announced much what specifically that means, but without a doubt, this is something that we feel merits investment from our side and is something that we can really turn into a profitable and exciting franchise for us going forward for many years.” The 2 million shipped units puts PGA Tour 2K21 among the best-selling titles in the series, giving Take-Two Interactive many reasons to revisit the property for years to come.

While Take-Two Interactive hasn’t officially confirmed how the PGA Tour series would be improved in the future, it looks like the developers at 2K Sports are getting more support from Take-Two Interactive moving forward.
