Call of Duty League Celebrates Successful Weekend
Call of Duty League just wrapped up its opening weekend with some great numbers to start things off. The league is celebrating its most-watched regular-season weekend to date, in addition to the most-watched regular-season match ever. This weekend saw its peak viewership 131,000 during the Optic Chicago vs Atlanta FaZe match, setting a new peak viewership record for the regular season. Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is available right now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
The average minute audience (AMA) for the Optic Chicago vs Atlanta FaZe match was 118,000 which set a new most-watched regular-season match record. The AMA over the whole weekend was 80,000 for the regular-season event, becoming the most-watched Call of Duty League event outside of 2020 Champs which had a lot more on the line.
According to the Call of Duty League statistics, live average minute audience and hours watched over the weekend were both up just under 50% year-over-year from the opening weekend of 2020. Over 1.3 million unique viewers tuned in to watch Call of Duty League over the weekend, which was apparently a 70% year-over-year increase compared to 2020’s opening weekend. By the end of the weekend, 209,000 accounts linked with Call of Duty League, showing an increase in engagement as well.
