Xbox Series X Capture Feature Getting Improved

Microsoft Working on Capture & Share Improvements

While Microsoft recently added a capture and share button with the release of the Xbox Series X/S, the feature still needs work. Many gamers recently took to Twitter to voice their displeasure over the functionality of the new feature. Director of Project Management at Xbox, Jason Ronald quickly responded to the criticism, assuring Xbox fans that there are a number of improvements coming to the capture and share experience. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is available across Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and mobile devices through Project xCloud.

Xbox Series X quick resume

YouTuber Colt Eastwood recently shared another gamer’s concerns about the capture and share button on Twitting, saying “While I do enjoy my XSX, Phil Spencer can we take a look at the share and capture? You added a share button and I use it all the time. But HDR capture, clip length, uploading of clips… it’s dreadful. Really needs work, as some things don’t work at all, and some are underdeveloped.”

Colt Eastwood included his take on the feature alongside his retweet, saying “is there a plan in place to fix or change the capture and video share portion of Xbox Series consoles? CPU strains under the capture and half the time the Share to Twitter fails to upload.” This caught the attention of Jason Ronald who responded with, “We have heard the feedback and working on a number of improvements to the capture and share experience. Nothing to share yet, but a priority for the team.”
