Giorno Giovanna is Finally Arriving Properly in Jump Force

Please Don’t Hold His Accidental Early Leak Against Him

Sometimes things go wrong in the lead-up to a big announcement. Technical difficulties arise. Important guests can’t make it after all. Someone accidentally leaks an unfinished DLC character and people immediately begin playing him even though he’s not done yet. Yes, we are talking about that whole kerfuffle with Giorno and Yoruichi being accidentally made available to data miners in Jump Force. That was embarrassing for everyone. Fortunately, the disaster is now almost over, because Giorno Giovanna is about to arrive properly as the fifth and final member of Jump Force Character Pass 2. Soon, he’ll be available for download alongside Shoto Todoroki, Meruem, Hiei, and–of course–Yoruichi. We’re looking forward to seeing him in his full glory.

Jump Force DLC

If you’re not familiar with Giorno Giovanna, then you’re in for a treat. Specifically, the kind of confusing, entrancing, and downright bizarre treat that only JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure can provide. As the protagonist of the on-going anime classic’s fifth part, Golden Wind, Giorno is the estranged teenage son of the series’ first villain, the vampire Dio Brando, and also kind of the son of the series’ first protagonist, Jonathan Joestar. Despite this, Giorno is neither a vampire nor a Joestar–he’s a pure-hearted gangster who dreams of taking over the mafia so he can eradicate the drug trade in Italy. Also, his Stand, Gold Experience Requiem, is so incredibly overpowered that he could canonically survive the complete eradication of reality. Good luck making that balanced in gameplay, Jump Force.

Buy Character Pass 2 for $17.99 and you’ll get access to Todoroki, Meruem, and Hiei immediately. Yoruichi and Giorno will join the party upon release and not a moment sooner. You can also get each character separately for $3.99, so if you looked at that list and decided that you only want Hiei, you’re still golden.
