Sam & Max Save The World is Getting Remastered

Spit-shined So Clean You Can See Your Face in it

We all mourned the fall of Telltale games in 2018–now it’s time to celebrate as classic IPs are resurrected from the graveyard of abandoned games. First, The Walking Dead returned to Steam. Next, we got a leak that new installments to many beloved Telltale games could be in the works. Now, Skunkape Games has granted the wish of gamers worldwide and announced a full remaster of Sam & Max Save The World. The Freelance Police are coming back! Someone catch us, we may faint! The new dev team is made up of veterans from the former Telltale Games, so they know what kind of manic hilarity they’re dealing with here. If this trailer is anything to go by, the dysfunctional dynamic duo are in good hands.

Talk about a blast from the past! It’s amazing to see our favorite canine and hyperkinetic-rabbity-thing back in action. Yeah, another Sam and Max game was teased earlier this year, but that one’s being made for VR by HappyGiant. We’re glad to see it, but it doesn’t scratch that nostalgic itch quite like the Telltale version. Or is it the Skunkape version now?

Sam & Max Save The World Remastered will cover the entire first season of the episodic series. Get ready to relive the surreal, cartoony magic with updated visuals, new music, and even more dancing Men in Black. Go to the moon again. Improvise frantically on TV again. Fight the Lincoln Memorial again. All your favorite Sam and Max moments brought back with vivid modern graphics, restored audio, controller support, and an ominously unclear “numerous additions and tweaks.” Also, there are subtitles in nine languages, including Polish and Russian, so there’s no excuse to skip out!
