Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle Stalks Its Way to PS4

The Most Gruesome Puzzle Game Ever is Coming for Your Console

Just as one Friday the 13th game departs, another steps forward. Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle, the mobile game where you help Jason terrorize (and murderize) campers across more than 150 levels. Follow this iconic masked slasher from Camp Crystal Lake to supermax prisons to outer space, and–this is important–help him kill everyone there. Everyone knows the real appeal of this franchise is watching Jason kill people. This puzzle game gives you a ton of opportunities to watch him do just that. Don’t believe us? Take a look.

Okay, this is the trailer for the Switch version, but in our defense, the PS4 trailer is a lot shorter. Also, way less kill shots, which we can all agree are a highlight of the game. Speaking of which, here’s a rundown of how to play Killer Puzzle. To make a long story short, your job is to help Jason kill as many people as possible by solving puzzles. Each isometric level contains countless opportunities to ambush victims, attack with collectible weapons (chainsaws, machetes, you know the drill), or scare them with environmental hazards (campfires, bear traps, vats of bubbling acid, etc.). Personally, we think bear traps would make good murder weapons, but maybe that would be treading on Dead by Daylight‘s toes.

More key features include:

  • See Jason like never before: Supermax Jason, Frozen Jason, Apocalypse Jason & More!!!
  • Traps! Cops! SWAT teams! Land mines! Rotary telephones! Teleporters! Cats!
  • Choose ‘R’ mode for dozens of gruesome Kill Scenes, or ‘PG’ for an almost family-friendly puzzle experience
  • Level up and unlock tons of horrifying murder weapons.
  • Trade in your rusty and unwanted weapons for shiny elite ones!

There are 12 episodes in this murderous package, and that includes the opportunity to time travel back to Victorian London. As Jason. Yeah, it’s that kind of game. We’re looking forward to it. What about you?

Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle launches today on PS4 for $12.99 USD. Don’t worry, folks–it is PS5 compatible.
