Gears Tactics Releasing on Xbox in November
After the announcement from Microsoft that the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be releasing on November 10th, I plethora of developers have confirmed their games are launching on the same day. The Coalition joined several other developers to announce that Gears Tactics will be one of the many games releasing on the same day that Xbox Series X/S release. Gears Tactics has been on PC for several months now, but gamers will be able to play it on Xbox One, or the next-generation series of console standalone or through the extensive Game Pass Ultimate lineup on November 10th.
After the confirmation of Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X launching on November 10th, The Coalition took to their official Gears of War Twitter account to proclaim, “And in even bigger news… Gears Tactics comes to console on November 10th.” Gears Tactics has been expected on Xbox One for a while now, but it looks like the November 10th launch of the next-gen Xbox consoles will also be the first day the tactical Gears of War title will be available on Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass.
Gears Tactics is a turn-based strategy title similar to XCOM that features the characters and universe from Gears of War. Gears of War fans are used to cover-based action third-person shooting, but Gears Tactics is a departure from the traditional gameplay from The Coalition. Several other titles have been confirmed to release on November 10th alongside the Xbox Series X/S, but this is one Gears of War fans have been anticipating since the initial PC release.
