Who Is the First Marvel’s Avengers DLC Character?

Hawkeye or Hawkeye?

During Crystal Dynamic’s second War Table event, they revealed that Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye would be coming to the game. There was a whole teaser trailer and everything. On September 1st, the game launched in early access for pre-order customers. A third War Table event was also presented on that day and “revealed” the first post-launch character, but at this point, it might be confusing as to who they really mean. This new trailer shows Kate Bishop AKA Hawkeye working with SHIELD and Clint is supposedly working for the enemy, at least temporarily. One thing is for sure though; we will be playing as Hawkeye.

Marvel's Avengers DLC

Crystal Dynamics has also revealed the voice cast of the upcoming Taking Aim story. Clint Barton will be played by Giacomo Gianniotti, Maria Hill will continue to be played by Jennifer Hale, who voiced Commander Shepherd in Mass Effect, and Kate Bishop will be played by Ashly Burch, who has voiced Tiny Tina in Borderlands, Chloe Price in Life is Strange, and Aloy in Horizon: Zero Dawn, among many other roles.

Apparently, Taking Aim will be broken down into two parts. The first part will pick up right after the Reassembled campaign in the base game and Kate Bishop will be added to the Avengers team. At some point in the near future, we will be playing as the OG Hawkeye. The War Table presentation started off with a moment of silence for Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, who died of colon cancer last week. This presentation was also altered out of respect for him. This leads many to believe that Black Panther was going to be revealed instead of Kate Bishop. Both characters were on the list of heroes revealed in the recent datamine of the game’s files. Marvel’s Avengers will be out officially tomorrow on September 4th for PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One.
