WWE 2K Battlegrounds Roster Confirmed By 2K

Star-Studded List

2K’s cartoon-y arcade wrestling game will be coming out in about a month’s time. This alternative to the long-running wrestling simulator series is certainly as refreshing as it is goofy-looking, in a good way. 2K has recently revealed the game’s full roster of wrestlers past and present. WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster has a ton of huge names like John Cena, Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, The Rock, and Xavier Woods. Pre-ordering players will also get exclusive access to Edge, regardless of whether you get the standard or Deluxe Edition.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds Roster

While the base game has about 70 wrestlers, 2K also made the bold move of telling us that there will be about 60 more wrestlers added post-launch. It is unclear if they will be added free of charge or if they are dangling these stars in front of us as upcoming paid DLC. Still, there are some pretty iconic and popular wrestlers coming post-launch including Sting, Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Goldberg, Mr. McMahon, Trish Stratus, Batista, and Ric Flair. In addition to Andre the Giant, WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be bringing back other wrestlers who have passed away post-launch like Chyna, Ultimate Warrior, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and Eddie Guerrero.

If these 60+ post-launch wrestlers are being added for free, then fans will have a lot to be excited about. However, if fans are expected to pay an unfair price for these stars, we may have just seen 2K turn heel. WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be coming out on September 18th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
